NOW: BIKE FRIENDLIER!!!
well... almost.
but if you want to help make Long Beach the most bike friendly city in the nation [kinda like city manager Pat West said he wanted]
HERE'S YOUR CHANCE TO GET INVOLVED!
in an effort to guide improvements to bicycle infrastructure and riding conditions, bike counts will be conducted throughout the city of long beach on these dates:
(i believe volunteership is for one day or the other, not both.)
thursday, OCT 16th
7am - 9am & 4pm - 6pm
-and-
sunday, OCT 19th
12pm - 2pm
those who would like to volunteer for the bike counts will be required to attend one of the following 90 min training sessions:
wednesday, OCT 15th @ 12pm, 2pm, 4pm or 6:30pm
at the PYRAMID ANNEX Conference Room on campus.
here's the bonus: volunteers will recieve a free Starbucks© gift card! w00t!
maybe not so much of a bonus, but the bike friendliness will spread onto campus as well.
i hear bike paths on campus are in discussion! how cool is that.
anyway
